In response to the vitriol surrounding ‘lazy millennials’ not working hard enough to be able to afford to buy a house, I designed a (satirical) website that calculates what luxuries you would need to give up in order to afford the average deposit in a range of major cities.
Using a range of data sources taking into account house prices, the average deposit and the cost of living in each location, Avocasa shows millennials the reality of the current housing crisis and how bleak the situation really is.
