Given – Website & Showreel

Given’s brand and proposition had evolved and shifted over a few years and they needed to redesign their website to better present the new offering.

The new site needed to clearly articulate their expertise and approach to projects as well as providing some context to audiences who weren’t familiar with their work.

Starting with a thorough audit of the existing site, a competitor review and a dive into the functional requirements of the
site, I led the project through planning, UX, UI design and handing over to developers.

With many stakeholders involved at various points of the project, it was important to rationalise and justify decision making to ensure a clear and consistent story could be told.

I started by mapping out the full range of content needed on the site, to ensure all bases were covered. This helped establish a basis for structuring the site in a simple way where users could easily follow through across the different sections. Two key audience groups were established to make sure the content was clear & articulated simply.

The site provided an opportunity to bring to life Given’s brand in motion, with geometric shapes forming the
base for a range of expressive animations that communicate their 3 areas of work, help add flourish to the user experience and helped the site feel engaging & dynamic.

Balancing showing the work Given does, with brand elements to make it visually distinctive, the new site presents Given through the lens of their new proposition. A simplified presentation of what they do links through to relevant case studies to clearly establish how they can work with potential clients.

I also worked on bringing the refreshed brand to life in a new showreel/intro film to sit on the homepage of the site to help explain the agency and how they work. It needed to show both the things Given do for businesses, as well as showing off their work in the best way possible.
